Lourdes Canlas Lagmay
December 5th 1930 – October 11th 2017
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lourdes Canlas Lagmay on October 11th 2017 at the age of 86.
Lourdes will be dearly missed by her daughter Anita (Othello), Eugenia (Rudy), Elvira (Freddie), Amelia (Romeo) and daughter-in-laws Sophia and Bing, her grandchildren Alor, Lora, Arlo, Meryelle, Roldan, Irene, Roderick, Gherlee, Glaiza, Eric, Emil, Lourdes, Annalyn, Ryan, Ambby, Ralp, Gene, and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Tomas Lagmay, her son Juanito, her granddaughter Ivy, and grandson Eric.
Lourdes was born in the Philippines on December 5th 1930. She grew up San Fernando Pampanga, in her teenage years she made the decision to explore the city and moved into Manila where she raised her 5 children, and owned a small rolling food store. After her daughter Anita moved to Canada in 1981 Lourdes, shortly followed with her daughter Amelia in 1986. She dedicated her later years to taking care of her grandchildren and could always be found in the kitchen cooking.
Viewing will be held on Saturday October 14th 2017 at Mosaic Funeral chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd, commencing for family at 4 pm and open to friends at 6 pm. Prayer service will be at 7pm followed by a reception.
