Obituary for Janet Louise Reimer (Bouteiller)

Janet Louise Reimer (Bouteiller)
Janet Louise Reimer
(nee – Bouteiller)
February 5, 1963 - September 2, 2017

In great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Janet on Saturday, September 2, 2017.
After a long battle with lupus and a courageous battle with cancer, she passed away in her sleep.

Janet was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba but was raised most of her life in Winnipeg Manitoba.

She was predeceased by her father Clifford Bouteiller and is survived by her mother Alberta Bouteiller, her sisters Brenda and Heather ( Enzo) and her brothers Teddy, Kenny and Billy along with nieces and nephews, husband Carey Reimer

Janet was a very compassionate person. She was known to rescue lost animals and to reach out her hand and home to people in need.

Through her life Janet accomplished a lot. For many years, she worked as a florist where she designed beautiful arrangements for people and family. After that, she decided to go to Urban Circle Training Center where she upgraded her education and received a Health Care Aide Certificate along with other Certificates, this she was so proud of accomplishing.

She loved Urban Circle Training Center and what she took from there, especially being exposed to the Cultural Teachings and the Elders. From there she received her spirit name " Morning Star Woman".
She also grew to love the sounds of the drums and the singing. This was a time in her life where she learned more about her own culture and her identity.

After her training she worked at the Health Science Center until her illness. It was alway easy for Janet to make friends as she was such a social butterfly with a big smile on her face at all times.
Many people loved Janet as she was an easy person to love, she was always laughing or making jokes. She was so kind and big hearted, she loved her family and her family loved her, she will be dearly missed.

It was Janet’s wish to be cremated. A private family gathering will be held.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society.
