Obituary for Stanley John Peresluka

Stanley John Peresluka
Stanley John Peresluka
July 9, 1942 - July 31, 2017

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our Father and Grandfather. Stan slipped away July 31st, 2017 at Health Science Center Hospital after a courageous battle to recover from his recent motorcycle accident.

Stan spent the majority of his life with a paint brush in hand, it was his way of giving back color and freshness to so many people and places. In his free time he liked to escape into the wind and the sun on his motorcycle, and would go for long rides with his friends. He was 75, but you could not tell him that. Anyone who knew him would say that he was definitely a character; one with an enormous heart and a smile for everyone.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His daughters Tokyne Smith and Tara Cooper, Grandchildren Meeka Peresluka and Jewell Cooper, his Brother, Sisters and their families, his many friends, as well as his loyal canine companion Scruffy.

Cremation has taken place as per Stan's wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held for his friends in Garson, MB at a future date, as well as one for his family in British Columbia. In Lieu of flowers, and cards, please make time to spend with your children and loved ones, celebrate the enduring friendships that help shape our lives, And make time to ride into the wind with the sun in your face, he would have wanted that.

Stan will always be with us, in our hearts, forever..........

The family would like to send a huge Thank You to the staff at Winnipeg Health Science Center Hospital for the outstanding care and support they provided to both Stan and the family while he was there.

A life well lived, is a precious gift,
of hope and strength and grace,
from someone who has made our world
a better, brighter place.

It's filled with moments both sweet and sad,
with smiles, and sometimes tears,
with friendships formed and good times shared
and laughter through the years.

A life well lived is a legacy,
of joy and pride and pleasure,
a living, lasting memory
our grateful hearts will treasure.
