Obituary for Cameron Eric Asher

Cameron Eric  Asher
With sad hearts we announce that Cameron Eric Asher, 60, of Winnipeg, MB, passed away at home on November 23rd, 2016.

Cameron Eric Asher was born in the RM of Gimli Manitoba to Herbert and June Asher on November 14th 1956. He graduated from High school in Selkirk. He married Joann Asher on May 20th, 1978 in MacGregor Manitoba. Cameron served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 20 years, where he retired to the rank of MWO in 1997. And as well received numerous metals of service including the Governor Generals award. He then went on to work as Facility Manager at Red River College up until his retirement in 2014.

Cameron is survived by his wife Joann Asher; His sons Rick Asher (Jen), Dave Asher (Lisa); grandchildren Taylor, Cody, and Alison Asher; brothers Terry Asher (Linda) and Garry Asher (Sharon); sisters Sharon Browton (Frank), Shelly Anderson (Wayne), and Charlene Rutherford (Brent), as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Public Viewing will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Mosaic Event Centre 1006 Nairn Ave.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday December 2 at the Mosaic Event Centre. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion # 7 at 117 Regent Ave East.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Cancer Care Manitoba and the Heart and Stroke foundation.
