The following are the purposes for which this organization has been organized:

a.  To restore, preserve, enhance and promote the beauty of not for profit, church and historical cemeteries in Manitoba and in Canada for the benefit of future generations by preserving their architecture, art, history and horticulture;

b. To provide technical and advisory support for the perpetual maintenance and beautification needs for not for profit, church and historical cemeteries in Manitoba and Canada;

c.  To promote and advance the knowledge and appreciation of local communities in the integral role that cemeteries play in defining Canadian Heritage;

d.   To carry on the cultural, social, philanthropic and charitable events for the benefit of members of the Corporation and local communities in Manitoba and Canada

e.  To promote, encourage and assist the physical, cultural and economic benefits of local communities in Manitoba and Canada through the coordination and implementation of community oriented activities and projects;

f.    For the attainment of the above objectives and as incidental and ancillary thereto, to exercise any of the powers as prescribed by The Corporations Act (Manitoba) or any other statutes or laws from time to time applicable, except where such power is contrary to the statutes or common law relating to charities and particular, without limited the generality of the foregoing:

 

I.    To accumulate from time to time part of the fund or funds of the Corporation and income therefrom subject to any statutes or laws from time to tome applicable;

II.  To invest and reinvest the funds of the Corporation in such manner as determined by the directors, and in making such investments, the directors shall not be limited to investments authorized by law for trustees, provided such investments are reasonable and prudent under the circumstances and do not constitute, either directly or indirectly, a conflict of interest;

III.  To solicit and receive subscriptions, memberships, donations, bequests, legacies and grants and to enter into agreements, contracts and undertakings incidental thereto;

IV.  To acquire by purchase, contract, donation, legacy, gift, grant, bequest or otherwise, any personal property and to enter into and carry out any agreements , contracts or undertakings incidental thereto, and to sell, dispose of convey the same or any part thereof, as may be considered advisable; and 

V.  To acquire by purchase, lease, devise, gift or otherwise, real property, and to hold such property or interest therein necessary for the actual use and occupation of the Corporation or for carrying on its charitable undertaking, and when no longer so necessary, to sell, dispose of and convey the same or any part thereof
