Mike started in Funeral Service in Minnedosa in 1966. He left that role to manage and work at the Zawidowski Funeral Home. Later on Mike worked at NBI, he was approached by Mr. Tommy Cropo to work for him at Cropo on Main St. This began a 23 year career for Mike holding many roles over the years where he retired from full-time funeral work as the Managing Director in 2008. Mike is married to Connie and together they raised 2 wonderful sons, Barry and Bruce. Mike enjoys his heritage in the Ukrainian community where he speaks the language fluently. Mike has always been a community contributor.....he was involved in the following great organizations. Morse Place Community Club (Baseball Convener), Charter President of the Kildonan Kinsmen Club, Officiated football with the Manitoba Football Association, Director on the Catholic Cemeteries Board (Assumption & St. Mary's), Board - Friends of St. Joseph's Residence and he played ball in the Transcona, East Kildonan Slow Pitch League |
